Inheritances…
People tend to get attached to certain things, expecially if said things have had some kind of significance in the history of a family. In most families there are one or a few items that has a special significance to the family members, these items are often passed on from generation to generation. This is often beautiful or valuable jewelry, unique paintings or something else cool. However, in my family we don’t have too many items which are passed on, and the ones we do have are… well, not that cool. Like the old chandelier. Yes, we actually have a big old chandelier that is passed on. It’s a horrible thing: big, made out of crystal and totally over the top. In fact it is more like a curse than an appreciated inheritance. The problem is that this kind of chandelier simply does not fit in anywhere (unless you live in a castle, I guess). So instead of hoping to be the one to inherit this enormous chandelier, my family members are more or less fighting not to get stuck with it. Well, at least it’s unique, I mean, you don’t find that kind of chandeliers in most normal homes - fortunately!
